Ebony Aitken was formerly General Manager, Government Industry Engagement at NBN Co.

Previously the Head of nbn™ local Victoria and Tasmania, Ebony has worked within corporate affairs, crisis and issues management, community engagement and communications for more than 10 years, across a number of sectors including road, utilities, mining and oil, and gas.

During this time, she provided strategic counsel to senior executives, developed a number of strategies to manage and enhance reputation through proactive outreach and drive positive leadership culture through internal communication initiatives.

A sucker for steel cap boots and high-vis gear, she spent time working on Barrow Island as the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project’s site public affairs manager where she managed a number of high profile events including visits from senior executives, and state and federal government.

Ebony has a Masters in Business Administration from Curtin Business School and is an accredited IAP2 practitioner (community and stakeholder engagement). She is also an all-round sports enthusiast, even watching the equestrian during the Olympic Games and can tell you everything you need to know about any Olympic sport.
