More from this section

Launched in late April 2016, the nbn™ Sky Muster™ satellite service is designed to deliver a revolution in broadband in regional and remote Australia. The service is based on two state-of-the-art satellites designed specifically to provide broadband to Australia’s hard to reach places.

Getting connected in remote locations

A revolution in satellite broadband

The nbn™ Sky Muster™ satellite service is dedicated to providing broadband connectivity to regional and remote Australia. So you can now enjoy quick access to health, education and business services, and most importantly you can stay connected with friends and family wherever they are around the world.

The Sky Muster™ satellite service covers mainland Australia and Tasmania, and remote islands such as Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, Lord Howe Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

Ongoing optimisation

nbn has worked closely with our Delivery Partners to improve the reliability of the installation process, network stability and service speed. Learn more about the Sky Muster™ satellite service and the improvements we have made to the network:
