Upgrade to business-grade fibre

Enhance your connectivity with business nbn™ Enterprise Ethernet

nbn has launched the nbn™ Business Fibre Initiative to advance the digital capability of businesses across Australia. We’re investing to deliver on-request1 upgrades to business-grade fibre to more businesses than ever before.

As a key part of the initiative, we’re offering Enterprise Ethernet to service providers with no up-front build costs for an estimated 90% of business locations within the nbn™ network footprint. Plus if your provider signs up for a 3 year Enterprise Ethernet plan, there’s no up-front connection cost to your provider.2

Additionally, we are declaring up to 240 nbn™ Business Fibre Zones nationally. This includes 85 regional centres where we are looking to improve the accessibility of business-grade fibre by flattening traditional pricing structures that favoured capital city centres.

Enterprise Ethernet is nbn’s highest quality business-grade offering, delivering access to reliable high speed symmetrical broadband with wholesale speed options of close to 1Gbps3, and dedicated 24x7 service support to providers from our Australian-based business nbn™ Operations Centre.

Next steps

Speak to a provider or business nbn™ accredited adviser about other upgrade options and retail solutions that may be available to you.

1 business nbn™ Enterprise Ethernet is only available in the nbn™ Fixed Line network footprint and at limited premises served by the nbn™ Fixed Wireless and Satellite networks. Costs may apply; customers should contact their preferred service provider to ask about availability and any fees and charges that may be applicable.

2 nbn is a wholesaler and does not control costs charged by service providers. Customers should contact their preferred provider to ask about availability and any fees and charges from their provider that may be applicable. These pricing offers are not available for most premises in the nbn™ Fixed Wireless or Satellite footprints or for most premises which have complex connections – further costs are likely to apply to these premises.

3 Regardless of the retail service you purchase, the actual wholesale speeds delivered by the business nbn™ Enterprise Ethernet product will be less than 1Gbps and no more than 952Mbps due to equipment and network limitations. Your experience, including the speeds actually achieved over the nbn™ network, depends on some factors outside our control (like equipment quality, software, and how your retail service provider designs its network). If your service provider has not selected the Class of Service – High, the speeds you experience may be affected by contention on the nbn™ network, particularly in busy periods.

4 Enterprise Ethernet eligibility is based on an nbn desktop analysis of available data. There may be a small number of premises where eligibility results will differ from those provided on the nbn™ website. You will need to confirm your location’s eligibility with your provider.
